Biography
As a pain management specialist, Dr. Fabienne Saint-Preux diagnoses specific causes of her patients’ pain and the underlying conditions that lead to it. She is interested in the ever-evolving advancements in neuromodulation and interventional targeted pain treatments that do not rely on opioid medication. Her goal in both pain management and helping patients make positive lifestyle changes is to help them maintain functional independence and a good quality of life.
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Saint-Preux is Haitian-American and was inspired by her grandmother to pursue a medical career. When not caring for patients, Dr. Saint-Preux enjoys plant-based cooking, boxing, hiking and kayaking.
Dr. Saint-Preux earned her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience at Dartmouth College, and she attended an extension school in organic chemistry at Harvard University. She earned her medical degree at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and then completed a physical medicine & rehabilitation residency at NYU Langone Health-RUSK Institute of Rehabilitation. She completed her intern year in internal medicine at University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she was awarded "Intern of the Year". She then went on to complete fellowships in pain medicine, at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and lifestyle medicine, at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
