Biography

My path to medicine started in South Texas while working for the Department of Homeland Security. As a US Border Patrol Agent, I found myself working in harsh environments without adequate medical training to help those around me. Because of this, I pursued and completed my EMT certification.

After relocating to my hometown, Owensboro, Kentucky, I worked as a fire lieutenant and EMT at the Owensboro Fire Department. During my PA training, I had rotations in many Owensboro Health clinical departments. So, I have been deeply invested as a public servant in this community for the last decade of my life.

The complexity of neurosurgery caught my attention as a student, and I really enjoyed being in the operating room. Neurosurgery forces me to continue to learn and keep my skills sharp to provide outstanding care for patients.

Being a member of the Owensboro Health team as a physician assistant is another step in continuing to serve my community. I'm a proud Kentuckian and love calling Owensboro home.
