Biography
Neurologist James Lamb, MD, developed an interest in becoming a physician after working as an ICU nurse. Originally from Madisonville, he is coming home to his family and Western Kentucky roots as he joins Owensboro Health’s neurology team.
Dr. Lamb treats neurological disorders including epilepsy, MS, myasthenia gravis, stroke, neuropathy, Parkinson's and neurodegenerative conditions. “I enjoy being able to take a neurological puzzle and solve it to diagnose and treat my patients – changing their life for the better in many cases,” he says.
Dr. Lamb earned his medical degree at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed a residency in Neurology at the University of South Alabama. An accomplished composer and performer of instrumental guitar music, Dr. Lamb is currently completing a Bachelor's Degree in Performance Guitar with Berklee College of Music.
