Biography
Dr. Jim Tidwell earned a bachelor's degree in microbiology at Brigham Young University, an MD at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and did his residency training in general and plastic surgery at Scott & White/Texas A&M Health Science Center. Dr. Tidwell completed a fellowship in hand, aesthetic and microsurgery at the University of Nevada. He also did fellowship training in microsurgical reconstruction in Belgium and Taiwan.
Prior to joining Owensboro Health, Dr. Tidwell practiced for two years as an assistant professor at Scott & White/Texas A&M Health Science Center during which time he served as associate program director of the Scott & White Plastic Surgery Residency Training Program.
Dr. Tidwell is married with three children. He is an Eagle Scout and is fluent in Spanish.
