"For me to become a physician, and specifically a cardiologist, is my childhood dream come true. When I was 13, my mother had a massive heart attack at the age of 36. She very nearly died. We were very poor and lived in a remote, rural community, and we had limited resources and access to healthcare.

“My mother's heart attack left her severely disabled and unable to return to her work in an automotive factory. Her heart attack came at a very formative time in my transition to young adulthood. I learned so much about what patients and their families go through during a medical crisis. It also inspired me to be the type of physician my mother would have wanted to have.

“Now, as an adult and a medical expert trained to work with the miraculous human body, I am in absolute awe of the workings of the human heart. For me, caring for those struggling with their heart health is a labor of love."

Dr. Sheridan-Babare is a cardiologist with many years of experience performing invasive cardiovascular procedures. She now dedicates her practice to non-interventional general cardiology, focusing on a holistic, lifestyle-based approach to the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease. 

Dr. Sheridan-Babare provides comprehensive care for patients with cardiovascular disease, including inpatient and outpatient consultations and continuity of care. She is also skilled in performing a range of cardiovascular procedures, including cardioversion, trans-esophageal echocardiography and implantation of loop recorders. Additionally, she performs cardiovascular imaging studies, such as echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, Holter and event monitor studies and nuclear cardiology studies.
