Biography
After leading Hematology/Oncology care teams in Western Kentucky for the past decade, Dr. Yashpal Modi has joined Owensboro Health Hematology/Oncology to provide excellent care for cancer patients in Owensboro.
Dr. Modi is a native of India who chose a career in medicine to fulfill his mother’s dream of becoming a doctor. “She was so smart that she was accepted into medical school, but she could not become a doctor due to social circumstances.”
Dr. Modi enjoys the challenge of understanding a complex disease and the constantly evolving medicine and technology of modern cancer care.
“Treating a cancer patient requires excellent communication skills and empathy,” says Dr. Modi. “But the most important part is helping them adopt a positive attitude to live happy and healthy lives.”
