What is a Medical Laboratory Scientist?

A Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) also known as Medical Technologist, is responsible for analyzing and performing tests on a variety of biological samples. Medical laboratory scientists maintain and operate complex laboratory equipment and microscopes to obtain invaluable results that are reported to physicians. The results obtained by the MLS are used in the diagnosis and treatment of many disease like cancers, diabetes, heart disease and other medical conditions.
