Intensive Outpatient Behavioral Health Program
If you or someone you know has a mental health condition and are struggling in spite of receiving outpatient treatment or a recent hospitalization, the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) may be appropriate for you.
Who is this program for?
Patients who may be appropriate for treatment are struggling to complete daily activities and routines due to:
- Severe depression
- Excessive worry and anxiety
- Confused or delusional thinking
- Difficulties making decisions
- Past trauma
- Mood instability
About the program
The IOP therapy group meets for three weekly three-hour sessions, with additional individual therapy and access to a psychiatrist for medication management. This program is ideal for those who feel that seeing their therapist once a week or less is not enough. If you or someone you know frequently feels that they may be in crisis or overwhelmed by their symptoms on a daily basis you may benefit from this program.
Patients usually complete the program within 6 - 10 weeks. Afterwards they should be able to resume care with their original therapist.
