Joseph Porter, MD

Originally from Madisonville, Dr. Joseph Porter is ready to move closer to home. After training in Atlanta at one of the busiest Level 1 trauma centers in the United States, he is bringing his experience and expertise back to our community.

Dr. Porter chose to focus on physical medicine and rehabilitation because it’s an interesting mix between neurology and musculoskeletal medicine. Specific treatments and services he provides include spasticity management, nerve conduction studies and electromyography, and peripheral joint injections.

Dr. Porter graduated from Transylvania University and the University of Louisville School of Medicine before completing a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Emory University in Atlanta.
