Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Our healthcare team includes employees, physicians, providers, and volunteers. Each has a critical role in giving our patients excellent care.

We welcome volunteers of all ages starting in high school through retirement.

Our Process

  • Your application, submitted either online, by mail or in person at the Executive Office, will be reviewed by the Director of Volunteers promptly. Print out an application [PDF].
  • An onsite interview will be conducted and options for a volunteer role will be discussed.
  • Should basic qualifications be met, you will then be scheduled for a general orientation, which includes a Tuberculosis skin test, Influenza immunization, and a criminal background check.

Opportunities

Current volunteer roles include Gift Shop Clerk, Information Desk Greeter, Long Term Care Activities Volunteer, and Office Assistant. Many college students shadow a rehabilitation discipline to meet a college application requirements. Volunteers help care for our community, get to meet new people and build new friendships, share valuable skills, and support the mission of the hospital.
