Vicki M. Stogsdill Nursing Award
The Owensboro Health Foundation and UofL School of Nursing, Owensboro Extension, partner to further nursing excellence in our region with an innovative award program geared to graduate students. Each semester, a UofL BSN graduate who has exhibited a higher dedication to learning, excellence in practice and the courage to be a servant-leader will be selected for a $5,000 monetary award. This award is available for both Fall and Spring semesters, and is one of many efforts toward growing Owensboro Health’s regional workforce by incentivizing great nurses to remain within our community
About Vicki
Vicki M. Stogsdill demonstrated dedication to her nursing career by mentoring nurses throughout the region for over 30 years. In the execution of her work, Vicki was an exemplar of integrity and led by example. Her contributions to nursing and the health of the residents of the region are numerous. Vicki’s dedication and servant-style leadership is evidenced by her history as a staff nurse, nurse manager of Intensive Care, nursing director of Surgical Services, senior vice president of Operations and vice president and chief nursing officer of Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
