Owensboro Health Regional Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility which opened its doors on June 1, 2013. Our hospital is part of an elite health system with a workforce of over 4,500 people. Our Owensboro Health Medical Group includes more than 350 providers in 30 locations serving the tri-state area.
At Owensboro Health we are extremely proud of what we provide to our community through this facility. We invite your organization to tour our campus to see what Owensboro Health Regional Hospital has to offer its patients, guests, and community.
Things to Know
- Allow enough time to schedule your tour. Each tour takes time to set-up to offer your group the most information possible about Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
- Park your car in Lot A
- Check-in at the Information Desk
- Wear closed-toe (and comfortable) shoes
- Groups larger than 15 people will be split into multiple tours. Both tours will take place on the desired date.
Types of Tours

Corporate Access Tour
The Corporate Access Tour is designed for a single person or a very small group of individuals who are employed in a leadership position within their organization.
Please allow for at least a 2-week notice for scheduling a Corporate Access Tour.
The Corporate Access Tour typically includes the following areas:
- Public Areas: Cafeteria, Emergency Lobby, Medical Office Building, Mother & Baby Entrance, Outpatient Surgery Lobby
The length of the Corporate Access Tour is approximately 30 - 45 minutes.
The Children’s Tour is designed for elementary age students. It does not include any clinical or behind-the-scenes areas within Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
The tour provides general information about the hospital. Children learn about where to go within the hospital in different situations, who can help them, and how the hospital is not a scary place to come, but a place they come to get better when they are sick or hurt.
Please allow for at least a 2-week notice for scheduling a Children’s Tour.
The Children’s Tour typically includes the following areas:
- Cafeteria & Chapel (as time allows)
- Emergency Room Lobby
- Front Lobby / Gift Shop
- Patient Rooms
- Public Areas near X-Ray & Surgery
Middle School / High School / College Student Tour
The Middle School / High School / College Student Tour is designed for school-age students who are interested in a career in the healthcare industry. The tour includes both public access and behind-the-scenes areas of Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Students on this tour will receive information from our experts in each of the departments that are toured.
Please allow for at least a 4-week notice for scheduling a Middle School / High School / College Student Tour.
The Middle School / High School / College Tour typically includes the following areas:
- Front Lobby / Gift Shop
- *Five Clinical Areas of Choice:

The Nursing Tour is designed for all Registered Nurses seeking career opportunities at Owensboro Health, whether you are a new graduate, close to graduating or a tenured nurse. The tour provides both public access and behind-the-scenes areas of Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Participants will receive information directly from experts from each of the departments they visit.
*Tours will be conducted based on availability. Please allow at least 4-weeks to facilitate your request
The Nursing Tour typically includes the following areas:
- Public Access Areas
- Patient Rooms
- Nurse Recruiter Meet & Greet
- Requested clinical specialty areas as time allows
The length of the Nursing Tour is approximately 2 hours
Public Access Tour
The Public Access Tour is designed for the general public. It does not include any clinical or behind-the-scenes areas within Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
The tour is designed for individuals who have limited knowledge of the hospital itself or of amenities and features it has to offer to everyday visitors and patients.
Please allow for at least a 2-week notice for scheduling a Public Access Tour.
The General Public Tour typically includes the following areas:

Auditorium, Emergency / Maternity Entrance, Medical Office Building, Outpatient Services, Outpatient Surgery Lobby.
The length of the Public Access Tour is approximately 45 - 60 minutes.
