Volunteer Auxiliary at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital

The Owensboro Health Regional Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary is a fundraising arm of the hospital and its sole purpose is to raise funds to support hospital-approved projects. The auxiliary hosts fundraisers sales throughout the year with various vendors. Check out some of the projects the Volunteer Auxiliary has funded within throughout the years.

Large scale projects supported through fundraising and the OHRH Gift Shops over the past several years include but are not limited to:

  • $750,000 to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for the courtyard located outside of the gift shop and a portion to the chapel 
  • $250,000 to Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center, Sculptures in the cafĂ© courtyard 
  • Warm therapy pool at the Healthpark
  • $52,000 to the Rehab Van 
  • Several areas in the Healthpark totaling $500,000 

Yearly projects supported are:

  • Care Bear Program 
  • Heart Pillows for Cardiac Patients 
  • Newborn Care Packages 
  • Turbans for Cancer Patients 
  • Annual scholarship awards
  • Well-being Cart at the Healthpark 
  • Cookies/Muffins for Hospitality Suites
